Li Wei is a Chinese artist who focuses on photo-manipulation. His work is so unique and fun. I loved his recent exhibition at La Villette in Paris. He’s just so creative and his pictures are perfectly crafted. In my opinion, he’s the best Chinese photographer right now.
I am a French illustrator, graphic designer and web designer. As a personal project, I love to explore borders between the real and the imagination. I live by this quote by Albert Szent-Gyorgyi: ‘Discovery consists of seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought’.
For many years, I have had a Phil Miller piece on my wall, and this picture has always been very inspiring to me. I love the way he mixes different images together: it means you can make your own story out of it. He also gives it a vintage textured look, which enhances the image.
I recently discovered this artist and he has really inspired me. The way he manages his curved lines blows me away. There is rhythm in his paintings, and I can imagine how his arms moved as he was painting. I like the way he superimposes different shapes and colors while still delivering a very clean result.
I’ve seen Les Voleurs de Poulpes (meaning The Octopus Thief) a few times in Paris. I really like the band because they’re fun and different, and they have their own style. I would define it as a mix of ska, reggae, Latino, and French music, with a touch of humor and jokes between each song. […]
