Monalisa Haque is a UK based PhD candidate in the field of Business who has a strong passion for music which has inspired her to create a Facebook music group called Square Peg In A Round Hole. The group welcomes anyone who enjoys underground music.

The group is solely dedicated to promote new talented artists and bands in the underground genre, showcase their music, and offer all kinds of support for promotion and publicity. Several industry professionals, such as music reviewers, music journalists, radio DJs, and e-zines editors, are also associated with this group.

Future Garage is a genre that is getting more attention of late. An off-shoot of once chart-worthy UK Garage, Future Garage is a moodier, more experimental derivative. One of the proponents flying the flag is DJ Brainz. He has a fortnightly show on the award winning Sub.FM. Lunar Dusk, a dark, alternative, industrial rock act, was formed in London in 2009 by guitarist Aerial. The principal aspiration is to use music as a creative platform to highlight awareness and stimulate positive change. The music subsequently maintains an attitude spawned through negative views on global issues such as the state of the world, global corruption, religion, politics, poverty and global wealth distribution, corporate and personal greed, environmental abuse and associated ignorance, government atrocities, military conflict and the music industry, in close collaboration with the Darkling and ‘alternative’ sub-cultures.

An ongoing personal project encompassing my love of type, illustration and my favorite movies. These four complete sets of illustrative typefaces are the first of a series based on, and inspired by, the movies Ghostbusters, Gremlins, Shaun of the Dead, and Jurassic Park. Simon at Sinage Design states ‘I wanted to pick apart the films and include common memorable elements from each movie to create the full A-Z library’.

Established in the summer of 2008 by Anna and Moses, Sacred Stitches was created to fill a void in the UK fashion and homewares industry that had previously been left untouched. Sacred Stitches works closely with two of Brighton’s best tattooists in creating images for their products to keep them fresh and on-trend. All their clothing is printed in the UK and all of their homewares are handmade in their Brighton studio.
