Jason Triplett, (aka Ming Triplett), is all kinds of talented. He is both a musician and an artist. His band, Ming Donkey One Man Band, is just that: one man, simultaneously playing all of the instruments a band may have. It’s gritty, it’s raw, it’s just what you want from an ex-punk rocker playing the blues/rockabilly. His artwork styles are not much different. He even went as far as designing and screen-printing his own cover for his most recent musical project, titled Georgia Line.

The images are the characters, events, and places I have casually encountered while growing up in Mississippi. An urban street influence has somehow bled through and mixed with my passion for folk to create works that some have described as urban folk art.

This is something I plan on purchasing in the near future. It is a clever little thermostat with a mind of its own. It apparently picks up on your habits and adjust itself accordingly. It remembers when you wake up and knows when you’re gone. The best part is that you can control it from your smart phone. At around $250, it seems like a great investment.

It’s hard to know where to start with 3D Printing. I know one thing for sure, it is no doubt going to go down as the biggest damn thing since the invention of movable type. This new article claims that they can now print pharmaceuticals. Which, let’s face it, is just scary. I don’t want to imagine a world where kids are sitting around printing up cocktails of party drugs that they downloaded from the Internet. But apparently it’s coming.

This video taken from the International Space Station is incredible. I feel pretty certain that if I was ever an Internet mogul or some sort of uber-rich entrepreneur, I would waste all my cash on a trip to see this in person. I am not sure what significant work, if any, that I would accomplish when I arrived. But I am sure that staring out the window would be enough to keep me busy for my time there. I guess this video will just have to do for now.
