‘Santalopes are everywhere’. That’s what artist Andrew Erdos will lead you to believe with his current project, The Sweetest Thing. The project documents an international fraternity of perverted and well-traveled Santas celebrating debauchery, idolatry, and lots of candy. The absurdity of this year-round celebration of Christmas, with its ridiculous costumes and overtly sexual themes, helps the viewer marvel in and enjoy the American trash culture on display. Erdos is known for working in all mediums including photography. His work has been shown at many museums including The National Centre for Contemporary Art in Moscow and the Beijing BS1 Contemporary Art Center in China. Read more

Jon Rafman’s much talked about Google Street View’s project brings together accidental moments, beautifully captured at random by the unknowing Google street cars as they document our big, old world house by house, bared bum by bared bum. The photos capture rare snippets of everyday life in an eye opening, beautiful, sometimes disturbing, often hilarious way. Read more
Seldom has black humour been done so well. On the surface, this film about the everyday lives of some unusually mundane characters, sounds extraordinarily boring. But it is instead a cutting comment on the absurdity and drudgery of everyday life. The characters try to break out or change their lives without success, and the results are bleak and hilarious. NASA has released some pretty amazing audio recordings of sounds from the moons of Saturn. The weirdest thing about them is that they actually sound like Theremin warbles and echoey whooshy sounds from ‘50s movies about space.
London fashion collective Noi Wear are knocking out some seriously cool garments at the moment, with each range based on a tantalizingly bohemian theme.
