I stumbled upon this quirky invention several months ago at the beginning of a creative collaboration I was working on. The idea involves an ‘interchangeable upper’ or skin which is separate to the sole and tongue’, allowing individuals to design their own shoe.

The scope and potential of such a simple concept could provide a future platform for amateur and underground designers trying to break into the fashion scene. It could also be used as a unique marketing tool to sell brands, and to promote the work of other creatives. And the best part is that it appears to be tangible backlash against the capitalist fashion world. Yes, this shoe’s got soul.

A shockingly sick video that sees members of the public ‘blown up’ for refusing to cut carbon emissions. Even a guest appearance from Gillian Anderson can’t take the away the unpleasant taste that this short film leaves in your mouth. Yes, there is a need for freedom of creativity, but this is definitely a step too far.
