I study illustration and graphic design in Nuremberg, Germany. I loved to draw since when I was a child and I started occupying myself intensively with illustration when I started studying four years ago. I’m in love with the combination of handmade things and the possibilities of digital editing.
I am in love with the illustration style of Andrew Zbihlyj (pronounced, “zi – bee – lee”). His art, which is very detailed and dynamic, is handmade with different materials, including some harmful chemicals and fire. He is somehow able to draw the most beautiful vivid lines.
Max-O-Matic, aka Máximo Tuja, is one of my favorite illustrators. He was born in Buenos Aires and had his first solo show in Barcelona in 2008. He makes beautiful, wierd and detailed collages, which are just so much fun to look at.
The self-taught artist, Tom Banwell, who resides in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in northern California, is working majorly in the genre of steampunk in which he makes fascinating gasmasks, helmets and accoutrements which he stitches by hand out of formed oak-tanned leather.
