Isa Genzken is a great installation artist. I find her work timeless, funny, and really unpredictable. She’s also very private and never does interviews about her work. Instead, she upholds the idea that her art is a language and doesn’t need translation.
I love Creep. Their music is really beautiful. I’m a serious lover of strings and they use them in such a cool way. They’re great producers, too, and i love how most of their tracks are pretty slow tempo, and very deep. I just did a remix for their second single, You, featuring Nina Sky.
I’m a big fan of Ryan Trecartin’s video art. His videos are saturated trips filled with hilarious and weird theories and very smart insights. The editing of the videos, in particular, is superb.
