I was lucky enough to see this exhibition in person last weekend in Madrid. It’s got to be the biggest retrospective dedicated to this amazing Italian conceptual artist. The large panels created with ballpoint pen are stunning. It’s on until February 5, if you find yourself passing through.

The dial is a modern version of the 19th century art form of lithophanes: carved porcelain sheets that, when lit, deliver astoundingly detailed images.
