Doug Rowell turns strats, Les Pauls, SG’s and Teles into works of dark art. Sounds like blasphemy to carve up a Fender Strat, yes. But Rowell has such amazing skills that I have to forgive him. His creations are thought-provoking and inspiring.
Richey Beckett’s mystical and evocative pen and ink drawings blend often dark occult imagery with an affinity for nature. The flowing and otherworldly style in these pieces is beautiful and unique.
There are people popping up all over Youtube with music review channels, but for heavy music reviews, I think Coverkiller Nation is probably my favorite. You can’t fake the passion and intensity that comes through in his commentary. The yin and yang between the rawness and sometimes over the top delivery and the amount of research and insight that goes into his videos is what makes Coverkiller Nation worth checking out.
