This book provides a doctor’s research into the biology of near death and mystical experiences created by the presence of DMT. You’ve probably heard of this but the book is seriously fascinating. You experience natural DMT at birth and at death. Many people are taking actually DMT vacations to see what death is like before they actually die. It’s crazy, and although we aren’t drug pushers, it’s intriguing.

This is the art of a stay-home dad who always has a crazy camera with a long viewfinder made out of Legos with him. He is the anonymous creator of rock sculptures along the beaches of the Long Island Sound, which are the subject of many of his photos. He also makes cool loops with his Rhodes and guitar and snare drum and carefully pieces his loops together in tandem with his photo art in beautiful short movie snippets. My favorite pieces are these planet-esque (or some are eyeballish) photo collages he makes.

The detail in the recordings is just one element of why this is so interesting and compelling.

Ever see someone on the screen or see their art or hear their band and just think, ‘I want to know them; I’m sure we could be very good friends’. Only, everyone is probably thinking the same thing about that person. They are just charming, inventive, real, charismatic. This is that guy. He’s so inspiring and you have no doubt seen his artwork-probably his word paintings (or maybe while watching PeeWee’s playhouse or a Smashing Pumpkins video).

This singing dog video is for all ages. I don’t care if 3,000,000 people have seen it. He should be heard. I hope it’s really true that this fella does this while his owners are out. I know it’s true that animals other than humans and chimps make art for their own benefit. Jason’s favorite part is at the end when he’s not sure if he’s really done pouring his doggie-heart out and he just stands there for a while. Then, yep, he’s done.
