Meeting on the Stairs is an independent Irish drama by first time writer/director Lorna Fitzsimons. Lovingly made on a tiny budget with a young cast and crew, it tells a sometimes stark story beautifully. It debuted nationally at Clones Film Festival, internationally at Washington’s Capital Irish Film Festival, and is showing at The Underground Cinema, Kingston Hotel, Dun Laoghaire, on February 9.

I’ve been the resident portrait photographer at the Alternative Miss Ireland for sixteen years. It is without doubt the wildest night to be had in Ireland and raises an incredible amount of money for Irish HIV/AIDS organisations. The 18th and final pageant will be held on March 18 in the Olympia Theatre, Dublin.

No One Knows About Persian Cats is a film I really want to see. I was pretty indignant when I first heard what the film was about and then I remembered my Mum telling me that in the 1970s, Barry White was banned on the radio here in Ireland. Barry White!
Incredibly talented six year old art prodigy Kieron Williamson paints stylistic watercolor landscapes. He captures light, shadows, and emotion years beyond his age. In fact, the only clue to how young he really is is his ‘wobbly signature’ on the paintings. Read more
