Short of the Week is truly a treasure chest. It is basically a website dedicated to short movies. Why waste a Sunday with bad movies on the television when you can be inspired by all these amazing short movies, including this one above on American Juggalos.

Captain Credible is from Norway. That makes me proud. I once saw him perform in a small tent at this festival and was blown away by his presence and his ‘circuit bending skills’. He modifies (circuit bends) old keyboards, game consoles and toys, then he creates music with it. Circuit bending allows you to make your old Casio keyboard sound like an apocalypse.

Their music is amazing and challenging, their live performances are always something unique, and their artwork and music videos are always so freakin’ good. At the time, the melding of dark, gothic themes with hardboiled rap seemed gimmicky and awkward, a strange extension of the early and awful attempts to bridge hip-hop and metal, but on closer listen, the now defunct supergroup was way more innovative than they were given credit for. I wasn’t aware of who Emilio Pucci was until my work was compared to his for the hundredth time. I’m happy to have anyone make that connection. I’m not a high fashion person. I keep to the basics and feel alright about it. The introduction to his work was mind blowing for me. Not only for the rich colors and patterns, but how those things worked with the human form. It was an interesting revelation, and one that has sparked more interest for me to explore fashion as a medium for art.
