It hurts my brain to think of the hours it must have taken Brazilian filmmaker Fernando Sanches to make an entire short film using only Instagram photos taken in Amsterdam, Berlin and Lisbon, but it certainly pleasures my eyes to watch the delightful two minute experiment. As its name suggests, Summer Eleven was filmed in the summer of 2011, but it only hit Vimeo recently. Worth watching for anyone interested in pretty European scenes, nice music, and the Earlybird filter.

I’ve heard of pet owners looking like their dogs, or of wives looking like their husbands’ mothers. But this is the first time I’ve ever been enlightened enough to know that celebrities can also look like mattresses. About nine months ago, I really wanted a puppy. We had already decided he would be a cavoodle named Lupe Mckee, and that he would be cuddly and fun and have a happy disposition. These days, whilst I would still love to have a fluffy little Lupe to look after, I have come to accept that owning a pet is an unrealistic dream: I can’t look after a plant, let alone an animal, right now.

It seems as though the reign of the Australian hipster has reached its final frontier: sport. Thanks to a new ‘anti-sport’ called Bike Polo, the cool kids’ societal domination is no longer limited to newly gentrified suburbs, trendy haircuts and longnecks in paper bags.

No doubt a consequence of the high fixie-owning percentile within the hipsters community, these cats have taken the horsies out of polo to create a fun, unisex team sport for cycling enthusiasts. All jokes aside, this progression from horses to bikes does actually make sense. However, since it’s the hipsters, we fear that the third gen polo sport may become Jazz Polo.

It’s hard to pinpoint my reasons for loving this Cheese People Tumblr. Is it because I’m a little bit obsessed with cheese, in both its physical and metaphorical forms? Or could it be because having an almost-embarrassing name resonates with me on a personal level?
