With a brush of her paints, Kim Manning brings to life the most salacious of humanly experiences. Art has always been second nature to Manning, but it wasn’t until the freedoms of University that she was able to get her hands onto a topic few dare to tread. This Sydney-based artist is having her first solo show at the Tate Gallery at the Toxteth Hotel in Glebe from April 25, and will surprise you with the brilliancy of her palate and subject matter.

The genius team behind the popular Twitter account @ShitGirlsSay have finally brought out a video, and as expected, it is every bit as accurate and hilarious as their feed suggests. Toronto-based filmmaker Graydon Sheppard and his partner Kyle Humphrey created the humorous account for laughs, and now along with pal Juliette Lewis, the pair has a certified YouTube hit on their hands.

Just in time for Christmas, the talented artist Flutter Lyon is putting together sessions where you can make your own pressing art. Ink pressings are a unique and beautiful gift you can give to a friend or loved one, or even set them up for a session to make a pressing themself.

As a part of this exciting new creative venture, the studio has launched the International Pressing Sessions via Skype. The first will be with talented musician Alex Burnett, the creative force behind the awesome band Sparkadia.

But there is nothing wrong with that, especially when you can combine the gorgeous feline with music. This tumblr is incredible. I have never giggled so much at my computer screen. In honour of Halloween and the fact that over here in Australia we don’t get as much of the spectacular as the folks in the USA, I have been discovering my own awesome stuff about this scary holiday. While looking up Where the Wild Things Are costumes I found this “Spike Jonze: Mourir Auprès de Toi”, and incredible felt stop-motion love story. Although this one may only be suitable for the adult kids, it is a hilariously saucy romp through a library. The collaboration between Spike Jonze and Olympia Le-Tan is an inspired little story you are sure to enjoy.

Jim Carrey is a master jokes man. I have loved him ever since I saw The Mask in the cinemas many years ago. I have also loved The Beatles since before I was born, when my dad would play them over and over. I think an ad campaign can often make or break a clothing brand’s new season stock, and more often than not, it isn’t even a reflection on the clothes themselves. Sometimes the clothes can be really awesome, but the photos just don’t impress enough for you to grab your credit card and punch in your details. Then there are ad campaigns so cool you want to buy the clothes even if it’s a men’s range for a season you won’t experience until next year (thanks Southern Hemisphere!).

I am talking about the rad polaroid’s taken at The Magic Castle in LA, California, of Hogwarts darlings Rupert Grint and Tom Felton for Band of Outsiders Fall Campaign. I’m a female about to enter a rainy Australian pollen-infested heat storm of madness, and I still want to buy Rupert’s wool and alpaca knit scarf.

Tavi Gevinson is a little internet phenomenon, she manages to write about things in a both adult and youthful spirit while embracing her own unique and rather quirky style (which has Vogue drooling at her tiny feet).

She is also the same age as my little sister. 15 year-olds shouldn’t be this together. It is a new era of teenage hood. So when I heard Gevinson was turning her gorgeous blog into fully-fledged online website, I was both humbled by her abilities and excited. Her online voice is so engaging and the themes she tackles so inviting, you will be spending a lot of time rolling about her new universe.

Manned by Katherine Brickman and Kate Mitchell, Greedy Hen is a collaborative multidisciplinary studio that churns out some of the best visuals in the business.

Having done works for bands (like the glorious Cloud Control), the partnership are happy to part take anything that takes their fancy. One glorious example of this is a small video produced for MasterCard, and put together by One Six Six Productions.

Greedy Hen created the absolute cutest mini band set, with catnip and mini-tambourines, too. Then a bunch of kittens were set loose to play the part of the rowdy band members. This result is even more adorable then the description.

Rodarte is the gorgeous brand created by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy. The California natives broke into the fashion world after an initial collection of just ten pieces. Is that a demonstration of talent or what?

The talented sisters, having blown away critics with their runway designs, also boast a huge following from the shopping happy public. People gobble up their designs, as they appear in more than 40 of the world’s biggest retailers and all over the online market.

The magazine has a wonderful array of emerging photographers, writers, and designers. Issued quarterly, it delves into a theme and swims about it through articles, photo-shoots, interviews and fashion. The website is easy to navigate and there is even a handy dandy iPad app for those tech nerds out there. So no more paper cuts, go seek out a digital copy.

I was introduced to Almie Rose by a friend who, knowing I was going through a break up, thought I could do with some friendly advice and a good old cackle. She was so very, VERY right. I opened this clip and I was soon in hysterics. Unfortunately, I was also at work, so I had to squash my rather loud laughter and appear to be crying instead.
