Classically trained Melbourne silversmiths, Jessica Morrison and Coconut Lu, have been busy working on a new side project they’ve called Princess C, Lady J and the Upper Crust. It’s quite a step away from their award winning personal work, which usually involves silver, gold, glass enamel and intricate original pieces. The pieces are hand dyed and handmade resin brooches and pins with an almost cartoon aesthetic. These bright creations are for those with a sense of humour — and style. The hardest part is choosing which of the fantastic critters from the range to fall in love with.
Sculptor and conceptual artist Romy Scheroder transforms chairs into distorted surreal artwork that totally bends your spacial perception. Her awesome work is currently on display at the Bronx Calling: The First AIM Biennial at Wave Hill until September 5. Read more
