The outpouring of emotional tributes in the wake of comic genius Robin Williams’s tragic suicide last week has continued with gusto with so many examples put forward about his generosity of spirit and his willingness to go the extra mile to help someone in need. Or just cheer them up, as with this short but sweet message Williams recorded for 21 year old Vivian Walleris who is in an Auckland hospital with lung, bowel and liver cancer. [Watch the video here]

New York-based Improv Everywhere struck in a REAL BIG WAY late last year with this stunt where they discreetly planted 20 women in conversation with their male cohorts in the same Manhattan deli that the original scene was filmed in and let, erm, Mother Nature gradually take its course. In Tennessee (where else), the bride Shona Carter-Brooks did something almost incomprehensible: she tied her one month old daughter into the train of her wedding dress as she walked down the aisle. Well, it was ‘something new’. Amid an understandably furious public outcry, Carter-Brooks has defended the decision, saying that the baby was ‘awake and well-secured’ and ‘covered by Christ’.
