I am a longtime fan of ’sadcore’, so I dig the sound of Melbourne singer-songwriter t.k. bollinger, whose constantly changing music is about the transformation that sorrow brings. His band creates slow and minimalist electric blues, bringing out melody and a quiet intensity while making silence the fourth member of the band. Bollinger is inspired by artists on the fringes, such as UK doom metal band, Warning, Tasmania’s Bird Blobs, and old faves like Captain Beefheart.
