This is my own electro-pop ‘supergroup’ Happy Music Radio Hour’s first single, which we constructed out of robot guitars, handclaps and retro parties. The band itself features members of Hermitude and Tin Sparrow (amongst many others), and the self-produced video clip includes goose lamps, robot dancing, roller skating and stop motion. This comes ahead of an EP release sometime in the next few months.

The new album Stories from Tokyo math-rock fourpiece Zazen Boys is an extension of the same progressive-funk mania that characterised 2008′s Zazen Boys IV but is perhaps even better. This track, built solely around an undeniable twitchy groove, occasionally sounds like a nervy, modern Japanese XTC. Go forth.
