One thing that I really didn’t want to miss when departing Melbourne was this gig. Michael Rother (former member of Kraftwerk) preformed tracks from his seminal Krautrock outfits Neu! and Harmonia, with fellow Harmonia member Dieter Moebius and former Neu! drummer Hans Lampe, in front of a full-house at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne.
Jen Von Klitzing has always been compelled to create beauty. Even as a child with only a pencil in her hand, she had the ability to converge her imagination and reality and transform it into art. Von Klitzing recently took part in a group exhibition at the Strange Wolf gallery in Melbourne.
LA photographer Brice Bischoff produces truly amazing work. Having only discovered his work from his recent photographic series Bronson Caves, I was immediately sold on his talent. The series is made up of Bischoff draping himself in coloured paper and recording his movements with an extended exposure. Is it possible to not completely dig this?
Let me introduce you to the hyper-realistic food paintings of American artist Mary Ellen Johnson. After viewing her work, I’m confident you’ll feel as hungry as I do. Munchies or not.
