Hug Me: a new fashion line from Sin Chan

Si Chan is a clothing designer from Macau, China, and I am in love with his menʼs collection for Fall/Winter 2012-2013. This mouth watering clothing line is called Hug Me. It is inspired by loneliness and the desire for warm human interaction. My favorite piece is a sweater/jacket adorned with long gloves in every color except black. Si Chan is a genius and I really want to give him a hug.

An enchanted jungle soundtrack by Alice & Michi

Strange Bloom is hands down my favorite album of 2012, so far. It was made by my bandmate, Alice Lin, and her friend, concert violinist Michi Wiancko. Together they are called Alice & Michi. Their LP reminds me a little of Coco Rosie, Bjork, and Stereolab. It is the perfect soundtrack for an enchanted jungle.

Retrospective of Bertrand Lavier’s art at the Centre Pompidou

Bertrand Lavier is a contemporary French artist with an eye for seeing beauty in the mundane. I saw his retrospective at the Centre Pompidou in Paris a few weeks ago and I really liked its simplicity and boldness. My favorite objects were old white freezers with boulders and furniture on top of them. How cute and awkward. If you are in Paris you should definitely go see it. It runs until January 2013.
