The Depthcore Collective has released it’s latest themed exhibition entitled OBSOLETE. Our members used the chapter as a platform to examine the chronological relevancy of topics ranging from the environment to humanity to technology, and made artwork across a timeline encompassing past, future and present to show the effects of decay and progress of the relationship between these prime entities. I managed to swing by the SVA Graduate Illustration show the other night and couldn’t believe how much amazing work there was. One particular illustrator I couldn’t tear myself from was Youngsun Liu. His work is pure texture and color, just the way I like it.

Brooklyn-based Polaroid artist Matt Schwartz, from She Hit Pause Studios, has been photographing his whimsical images of girls, surf culture and vintage finds for the past eight years. Schwartz takes large format Polaroids, pulls apart the film, and then rubs the negative onto watercolor paper. Read more
