The Green Dress is a collaboration between London-based photgrapher David Yiu and Tel Aviv-based designer Johanne Bertaux-Strenna. The photographs showcase an entirely sustainable dress made from pure cotton and recycled second hand garments from Chris Carey’s Collections, in a bid to encourage fashion to do the ‘green’ thing.

Yiu started taking photographs when he was at university. Soon after graduating, he went freelance and currently shoots a wide variety of images for different people and companies. After graduating from London College of Fashion, Bertaux-Strenna spent two years designing costumes for film, before reaching third place in the Red Carpet Green Dress competition. She has now moved to Tel Aviv to start work on her debut collection of conscious ethical womenswear.
