This Sydney-based brand has an ambitious mission: ‘To headbutt the underwear category in the ball and the double kick it in the face. Rendered helpless, we then steal its market share and run’. They make great products, and they’re not afraid to get a bit sexy. But I’m sure you’ll work that out for yourself.

Normal people read books, watch movies and catch up with friends so they can complain about their other friends. Normal people do normal things. Kim Beom, on the other hand, screams at yellow paint. Says Beom: ‘The technique to this painting is to incorporate the sound of screams into the brush strokes. A brush stroke done with screaming is very different from a normal one. The effect of the screams is recorded with the brush strokes. Aaaaaaaaagh!’ Don’t question, just watch.

I have a handful of friends who insist on hanging vintage art on their walls. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love old stuff. It just gets a bit weird when it’s not home grown. London, Paris, New York – all the cliches come out to play when it’s vintage art hour. The good news? Sydney has some history of its own. These beautiful maps show the different suburbs of Sydney from the late 1800s. Sourced from the City of Sydney Archives, these awesome reproductions are printed on archival grade, textured stock. No… not the Joss Whedon masterpiece but a pretty amazing skate video all the same, shot using a camera mounted on a motion stabilised helicopter drone. We used one of these for a shoot and they’re super fun. There’s an amazing shot at about 1:00 into the piece where you really get a sense for what these cameras can do.

Most kids like crayons, pens, wrapping paper, cartoons and those shiny things that go on the end of shoe laces. Who am I kidding? Kids like colourful stuff that makes their face happy. This beautifully designed colour tester is a game for kids trapped in bigger bodies. It starts easy. The later levels made my brain fold in half.

Sometimes having a camera is annoying. It can get in the way of enjoying the moment. Memoto is a camera that alleviates the awkwardness that sometimes comes from pulling out your phone to capture your finest duck-face. It’s a tiny camera and GPS that you clip on and wear. It has no controls so it constantly takes photos. The coolness bit is the app that allows you to easily sort and organise the countless photos it takes. It’s like having a personal life recorder.
