Chantal Young is an innovative designer based in Milan who works with print and batik to create wearable art. She employs everyday objects such as bubble wrap, wire mesh and fallen leaves in her work and treats each garment as a canvas on which she carefully places each element, ensuring no two dresses are ever the same. The Kevin Ayers record Joy of a Toy from 1969 was released by Harvest Records and sits somewhere between Nick Drake and The Byrds. A record slightly ahead of its time, it was filled with enough interesting and clever arrangements and instrumentation to never bore. Girl on a Swing is my favorite tune for the tremolo guitar.
