Screen Vinyl Image’s latest album, Strange Behavior, is perhaps my favorite record at this moment and this is largely due to the Anthem they created with the opener, We Don’t Belong. If you like The Jesus And Mary Chain you’ll love this band. Noisegaze at its finest.

The band Icarus Gasoline was formed in Punta Arenas, Chile, the southern-most city in the world. They are one of the rising stars in the underground circuit of new rock bands there, with two records under their belt. You can listen to some songs on MySpace: Meet the Changes and Lo Desaparecido are two favorites.

This new endeavor from Monocle its pretty good: the music is laidback, but the most interesting stuff is in their shows that range in topics from restaurateurs, food growers, fashion, architecture and current events. All the programs are highly recommended.

There are good illustrators and there are AMAZING! Illustrators, Sam Wolfe is definitely the AMAZING! kind. Each of his illustrations tells a story: you are immediately pulled in cause they are filled with atmosphere. And like in any good movie, you have to first believe the universe that the characters are in to really care about them. Read more
London-based illustrator, designer, and screen-printer, Dan Mumford, uses pencils, pens, a tablet and Photoshop to create meticulous and creatively exciting pieces of art.
Blind is an amazing flash game that borders on high art. The point of the game is to maneuver through the darkness, feeling out the various features — ladders, steps, doors — that will lead you to a voice calling out for help. Pretty creepy and fun.
