After first running across this video the other day, I haven’t been able to take my mind off the idea of what other possible applications this medium could lend itself to. It evokes a spectrum of immersive capabilities. The quality of the image is stunning and I’m sure quite haunting when experienced in person.

I’ve had the privilege of knowing Jeff Alan Love personally and watching his voice find its fruition in the illustration industry has been inspiring. With an ability to place ego aside while embracing a strong economy in mark-making, Alan Love is able to steer clear of trends and produce conceptual solutions for editorial illustration. Plus, he’s just an all around cool guy.

Comic anthologies are a great way to be introduced to a variety of artists, whether they’re legends in the industry or new and upcoming. Horror anthologies, however, are a breed all in their own. I had the pleasure of catching this crazed Irish trio in Richmond when they played with Sports Bar and Fang Island. From the first sound of static in the PA, I was figuratively dunked into a tub of electric eels. A constant surge of youthful energy made this band an incredible act to see.
