<p>Whether you&#8217;re a serious artist or someone who just found a pen and paper in your back pocket, you can go to one of these drawing sessions (they are now in about 100 cities in the world), pay a small fee, and draw cool burlesque performers and alternative art-models, and maybe have a drink or two for inspiration!</p>

		<p>If you&#8217;ve ever used the <a href="http://www.freecycle.org/" target="_blank">Freecycle Network</a>, you know that there is quite a lot of kooks on those boards looking to give away some crazy stuff like shark fetuses, broken baby gates and old cereal. <p>I find the funniest and most bizarre postings on Freecycle and poke fun at them mercilessly until I fall out of my chair. I like the greedos looking for brand new Camaros and iPods on Freecycle: asking for the moon and only getting my scorn. You&#8217;re quite welcome, I&#8217;m a natural at it.</p>

		<p>Australian-based artist <a href="http://www.micromachina.com/html/pre-emptive-swarm.html" target="_blank">Scott Bain</a> combines two of my all-time favorite obsessions, bugs and sculpture, and makes beautifully strange sci-fi scenarios out of taxidermied insects, plastic figures and tiny found objects that make a statement about humans&#8217; almost mindless drive to make nature conform to our will, needs, wants and desires without ever considering that nature does just fine on its own, without our intervention. <span id="more-71812"></span><br />

		<p><a href="http://joefentonart.com/" target="_blank">Joe Fenton</a> has had a string of successes that any artist would give his right hand for: working with the likes of director <a href="http://www.lostateminor.com/2011/08/10/terry-gilliam-explains-how-he-makes-his-animations/">Terry Gilliam</a> (Brazil, 12 Monkeys) as a film concept designer and sculptor as well as with companies like Disney and Miramax. <span id="more-71553"></span></p>
<p>He&#8217;s a children&#8217;s book illustrator, and oh yeah, I forgot to mention that he only started drawing a year and a half ago and is already making murals that would blow Hieronymous Bosch&#8217;s mind were he still alive and kicking. Holy crap, I&#8217;m envious as hell.<br />
