Ricky Watts is asking for help in the creation of his biggest project to date. Watts has done many murals, but this one is special. Firstly, at five stories, if completed, it will be his biggest. Coincidentally, it will also be the largest mural of any kind in Petaluma. But the biggest factor is that […]
Doctor Popular is a San Francisco-based photographer. He’s been using mostly his mobile phone, but has put out some poignant and beautiful pictures of the city around him. I have a folder in my bookmarks called Time Wasters. It is the first place I go when I have been on my computer for a while and just want to zone out on silliness for a bit, rather get any actual ‘work’ done. The first in this list is Instant Cosby, a full screen […]
Aaron Crawford makes monsters. With beautifully grotesque detail he puts them on prints, t-shirts, books, and even buttons. He draws out original and frightening works while also making pieces inspired by classic horror elements like Night of the Creeps and Goosebumps. A lot of his work is limited edition, but new stuff is constantly coming out. I always get comments on the t-shirts I have.
When the Chickens Revolt is a seriously sweet webcomic. Aptly described as the ‘combined insanity of Sam Keith and Jonathan Wayshak’, it is an ever-changing story that boggles the mind, confusing a reader in the best way. The artwork alone makes this webcomic worth checking out. Jonathan Wayshak, with his crazed style and intense attention to detail, makes this comic a treat for the eyes.
I have always been a huge fan of macro photography and took a crack at it myself with this photo shoot from my desk. I figure this is about as close as I will get to any animals of this type, so I might as well have fun with it. I don’t see myself ‘heading out on safari’ anytime soon. I’m gonna blame the expense of that kind of trek, not any fears of being that close to a wild gorilla. Yeah, that’s my story.
I have just released a new audiobook titled A Deer, A Puppy, and An Old Man. It is a collection of three of my stories recorded in my own voice. They are uniquely bizarre and meant to be an eclectic collection to wrap your brain around. Only $3 for a download of all three of […]

The art of Ricky Watts always inspires me. It is psychedelic, contemporary and stunning when one thinks about how he does it all with spray paint. Starting out in the world of street art and learning the complexity of graphic design, Watts has grown to be a true artist. You can really see the attention […]

There is a movement out there. One that hopes to rally enough people together to get Weird Al for the half time show at year’s Super Bowl XLVII. Fans have gone to Twitter using the #SuperAl hashtag and the @AWeirdSuperBowl profile and on Facebook to help spread the word of this AMAZING idea. Please help […]
