Ivory Skies is a small t shirt label fresh out of London offering a point of difference in the very over crowded printed tee market. All their shirts are based on rare ancient artwork printed on nicely fitting white tees. Co-founder and designer, Carlo Salanitri, describes the label as ‘a rare style representation of the mystical past blended with today’s indie street fashion’. Director Doug Pray (Surfwise, Scratch, HYPE!) has released a new documentary about advertising and inspiration which ‘reveals the work and wisdom of some of the most influential advertising creatives of our time — people who’ve profoundly impacted our culture, yet are virtually unknown outside their industry’. Art & Copy is a must see for anyone even remotely interested in the advertising industry. It features some great insights into the thoughts of the people responsible for Just Do It, I Love NY, Where’s the Beef? Got Milk, Think Different, and many other brilliant campaigns.
They say you can’t reinvent the wheel, but designer Ron Arad has done just that with his Two Nuns Bicycle. Rather than the traditional spokes and tires, this bike moves along on mandalas of bolted steel.
