Brazilian twins Os Gemeos have been creating some of the most colorful art on walls for decades. In a street art scene where artists are judged by the quality of their stencils, it is refreshing to see Os Gemeos consistently putting up work that is technically masterful and completely unpretentious. Their characters have a playful and fantastical quality, contrasting sharply with the urban decay they decorate in Os Gemeos’ native Sao Paulo. Recently, their transition to gallery work and sculpture has been seen them expand their scope into massive multimedia installations.
I guess I’ll just have to man it up and wear a silk scarf.

Between replays of Bruce Springsteen and hipster-of-the-minute rock, I keep coming back to the Forest Swords album Dagger Path. Even with all the modern microgenres, I have no idea how to classify this album. At times stark and ghostly, other times melodic, the music is always hypnotic. Samples loop and evolve, slowly shifting styles mid song. This isn’t the most approachable album, but it rewards repeat listens.

I spent a good portion of high school sitting in Tower Records looking through graffiti magazines, and since then I’ve become an internet graffiti addict. I’ve seen a ton of letters and sometimes they all seem to blur together. When I first started seeing work by London’s Roid, I felt like I was seeing graffiti for the first time.

I was completely blown away by his unique approach. Everything about his style is original and perfectly executed. Even after hitting stylistic gold, he continues to innovate and switch it up on almost every piece. It’s no wonder why he’s now a card carrying member of two of the world’s most dominant crews, HA and MSK.
