If you happen to be in that neck of the woods, be sure to swing by the Vintage Festival this July in Northamptonshire, England. This neat little concept incorporates all things cool and vintage from the ’20s to the ’80s. Music, art, fashion, design and more all converge on the breathtaking Boughton House property. There […]
Check out this awesome new music by Imagine Dragons from Las Vegas. This video showcases the raw talent of this band. I caught an awesome performance by them last week in Nashville on their way to their sold out showcase at SXSW. I cannot wait to see these guys again. Fresh and free, just like […]
Five Knives are a fresh, Nashville-based powerhouse of an electro-rock band, well on its way to tearing shit up. This track also features local Hip Hop phenom, Chancellor Warhol. Five Knives has a string of three fiery EP releases available on their website for free download. Don’t be the only fool who doesn’t know what’s […]

Wow. There truly is a market for everything. The AudioBulb is a lightbulb with a built in speaker that plays music through any wirelessly transmitted device. These bad boys even come with a remote control. But this is what I am wondering: what good is it having a speaker that plugs into a light socket […]
I recently had the pleasure of crashing a delightful set from The Jason Connelly Band at The Listening Room Cafe in Nashville. Jason Connelly is working with a delightful voice that lands him somewhere between Ray LaMontagne and Martin Sexton. I love it when a singer can silence a room, and this Atlanta-based duo does […]
Fuck going green. Go blue. Most of the untapped real estate on Planet Earth is under water anyway. These concepts may appear a bit far fetched, but they offer as many positives as they do unrelenting fears. Sustainable climate control, protection from atmospheric devastation, tranquility, no escape, loss of oxygen, giant squid attack, drowning, and […]

Emily Wells shows off her talent in this video performance of her song Symphony 1 in the Barrel of a Gun from KRCL radio station in Salt Lake City. Impressive and cascading violin and vocals looped into a kaleidoscope of sound. I have a feeling that we will be hearing more from miss Wells in […]
Give a band a place to crash, get a free CD. Well worth it. This Eugene, Oregon-based trio offers up a fresh take on mountain folk and bluegrass. Check out this single Greetings from Mardi Gras off of their latest album, All The Lies You Want to Hear. Compelling writing coupled with strong vocal harmonies. […]
This sheik and futuristic new watch concept is as fashionable as it is useful. Developed by Koros Benedek, this bracelet-like design consists of bands that rotate around the wrist, offering a modern ‘twist’ on timekeeping. As watches have become one of the most sought after combinations of style and grace, Koros Benedek is on the verge of the next big thing. Only time will tell.
At the recent Ghent Light Festival 2012, or Luminarie De Cagna, an age old tradition reached new heights with this stunning array of lights. This medieval and romanesque looking structure combines a taste of the old world with a peak into the future. Eat your heart out ravers. Dazzling architectural artwork with towering archways are ornamented with over 60,000 multi-colored LED lights. This is what the Vatican would look like if it were in Tron. The engineers of this masterpiece must have kicked ass at LITE-BRITE when they were little kids.
Back to the future. Ok, we can’t hover yet, but we can skate a deck at 20 miles per hour on battery power. These battery powered and weight sensitive decks are the way of the future. And at 10 miles per charge, these wheels are no joke. The ALTERED electric skateboard features a handheld controller and is proven on the carving circuit. Go green, go mean, and go lean on the next wave. Next level ply, skate or die.
Greenbutts are biodegradable cigarette filters that would break down quickly in the natural environment. The manufacturers of Greenbutts use organic flax, cotton and de-gummed hemp as opposed to acetate cellulose (plastic) and dangerous glues found in standard cigarette butts that take 10-14 years to break down. This also means redefined all-natural tobacco taste. Greenbutts also […]
