Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s list of Hanukkah Wants was leaked and mygivee.com has created his wishlist for his close friends. Impressive to see the broad spectrum of desires of a reclusive entrepreneur. Mark asked for ‘Livestock restraints and slaughtering knife’. He wants a Gulfstream Jet and private island. He wants to jazz up his look with pull-overs, makeover his desk with a calendar, and drink some plonk.

This unlikely embroidery artist makes hilarious and touching works that nearly always feature an oversized penis. It is wonderful to see a revival of this almost lost art and the fact that it is combined with humour and bright colours makes it all the more beautiful.

This is one of my favourite photographs. I love to play with scale and these wrestling dolls are my favourite photographic subject. Making these inanimate dolls look as though they are feeling something is my ultimate goal and it doesn’t hurt if it’s also a beautiful image.

This Melbourne based band is blowing up right now. Willow Beats’ track, From Under the Ground, has been featured on Triple J Unearthed and is reminiscent of Gershon Kingsley’s early electronic pop song, The Popcorn Song, which was released in 1969. By contrast, the Willow Beats’ track is fresh, new, and so 2012.

Cecilia Paredes is a Peruvian-born artist whose work beautifully blends bodies against a wallpapered background. While the idea is not new, the execution and delicate beauty of these images makes them so modern and meditative. Failing to camouflage the hair has drawn criticism from some, but I think it adds interest and life to these already gorgeous images.
