This is a really nice app, and a great way to get film of an event. By using the app, phones shooting video in the same location can compile all the footage from their friends to create a multi-angle edit. Smart.

This is a video I was commissioned to make by Pictures music. As soon as I heard the track, it reminded me of the kind of clicking, popping and sporadic insect sounds that you might hear if you mic’d up a couple of cockroaches. I decided that the spinning record could be the instigator for the insects to dance, as if the record player itself was their nightclub and the track was their beat.

This is great: a really clever film promotion for Prometheus, Ridley Scott’s upcoming release. It’s structured as a TED talk set in the year 2023, delivered by the founder of the infamous ‘Company’, Peter Weyland. The company WeylandYutani is always simmering in the background throughout the Alien series, and this piece establishes at least one of its originators by perfectly marrying a relevant communication platform with the world of the film.
