Last year, I had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot for James Lillis — the designer behind Black Milk, which was then a budding online business selling fashion tights. Now he has a fan base of over 40,000 screaming girls all eager to jump into a pair of his next leg huggers. And for good reason. The designs are to die for and you won’t find anything nearly as cool anywhere else. Ever.

If you appreciate ridiculously good picture books, or are somewhat obsessed with them like I am, Oliver Jeffers’ work is what you need to see. His beautiful watercolour illustrations mixed with stories that make you wish you were five years old again are nothing short of remarkable. To make matters better, his acclaimed book, Lost and Found, is now an award-winning animated short film.

Have you ever been stuck in small town America without a drop of artisan coffee to keep you alive? I have. I was in Seaside, California, crawling on my hands and knees and shaking my fist at the sky when I found it. Acme Coffee.
