I don’t care if it looks too good to eat, I’d definitely tuck into one of these ice-cream moon cakes created by London designers Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien for Häagen-Dazs. The White Moon consists of flavours including pistachio, macadamia nut, meringue and raspberry, while the Orange Moon is filled with chocolate, nuts and salted caramel. The designers say they were inspired by Georges Méliès’ 1902 silent film Le Voyage dans la Lune, Armenian surrealist Léon Tutundjian’s relief work of 1929, a childhood Bollywood song and the near-spherical shapes of early ice cream bombes. So a cake that is as pretentious as it is delicious. I’m OK with that… who has a spoon?

Yesterday, during a frustrating computer crashing moment, I ripped my stress ball up into tiny foam pieces and felt considerably better for it afterwards. I imagine the Curious Vase could provide similar relief. Created by Dutch designer Mianne de Vries, who recently graduated from Utrecht School of the Arts, the vase hides either two of four differently shaped vases inside once you smash the outer layer. An excellent venting exercise if nothing else.

Chef Cui is a noodle-slicing robot developed to take on the arduous task of slicing noodles in restaurants. The robots work on same principle as windscreen wipers as they slice the noodles with a swift up and down movement. They also light up for no functional reason. It is just me, or is anyone else feeling it’s a little too reminiscent of I, Robot?

Twin Shadow’s video for Five Seconds, a track from George Lewis Jr. and band’s new record, Confess is pretty epic. The blog is solely dedicated to collating the most indulgent and ostentatious of photos posted on Instagram by wealthy teenagers. Among what appears to be a whole lot of lounging around the swimming pools of mansions, there are snaps of private jets, obscene bills and arms stacked with Rolex, Cartier and Hermès.
