Houston is known for a lot of things, but one thing it has that you might not have known about is the growing popularity of street art in the Texas metropolis. My favorite is Coolidge, but he is just one of a many talented artists here in the Houston area. Next time you’re in town, make sure you keep an eye out for their work.

In addition to the amazing glass canopy ceiling at the National Portrait Gallery Courtyard in Washington DC, the space also boasts a striking floor feature consisting of two rectangular pools of shallow water that stretch the length of the floor. The free wi-fi and adjacent cafe make this a perfect place to grab a cup of coffee, and read a book or study.

Jólan van der Wiel uses magnets to create unique, and one of a kind designs such as this candelabra, by placing magnets over a polarized material and then letting gravity and magnetic forces pull against each other until the material cures.  The final result has the appearance of being from another planet.
