Token Entry is a collection of more than 80 poets with their takes on the New York subway experience. It includes poems by literary greats like Langston Hughes and works by contemporary and lesser known New York writers. Short films are being made for several of these poems.
Inspired by a summer of love in San Francisco, 1960’s space travel, psychedelic revelry and nightmare, music festivals and war, places in dreams, peace, love and nostalgic hauntings. I mix elements of surrealism and pop art in a collage effect. Random characters and inanimate objects inhabit the same space and colours and patterns vie for attention within the composition.
Gunsmoke and Lavender started in 2010 by Jo Hawtree is a menswear fashion brand. Initially it was the detailed animal, floral and skeletal illustrations on the T-shirts that grabbed me. But beyond those you’ll find the one off and small collections put a contemporary edge on men’s tailoring with a dark glam rock feel.

Whether it’s a badger in pants or a wrestling bear these characters have fun and a bit of attitude. Jimbob Art has also just opened up a brand new real life studio shop in East London too.

Growing up with action figures like Turtles, Wrestling, He-Man and Starwars, I came across Suckadelic Inc and was intrigued by the concept. Totally DIY, The Sucklord makes his own parodies and weird mutant hybrid toys along with the packaging. This super villain is really carving his own path.

She blends this elegance of the old illustrations with bold colours and new ethereal layouts. The engravings take on a new life wrapped around animals or woven into ancient maps.
I heard an account once which said Picasso was inspired by wrestling on TV and would watch and make notes to weave in to his art practice. Well here’s a professional wrestler making works of art. Jeff Hardy paints large canvasses in a cubist type way by abstracting portraits to create these other worldly beings […]
