No to Buh! is a small blog project that evolved into a photo-drawn diary, sometimes accompanied by a few words of commentary. It’s a relief to bring reality back to that basic level of imagery again.
To talk about most complicated things in a simplest way, that is what is the most difficult. I love the Globlogos character design, which goes perfectly with the specific meaning of each figure. It’s a cute and wise mini-encyclopedia that I like to return to once in a while.
Often gross and rough, and definitely for adults only (wink wink), George the Hedgehog is a full length animation movie from Poland. Strangely rich in its graphics, the animation brings a disturbing portrait of the cult of celebrity. It’s good to watch something not that cute once in a while.
Check out this trippy and creepy music video. There’s a great sense of rhythm in these set of illustration-like moving pictures. I love how very little actually has to be shown to give off a specific mood.
It’s difficult to describe the confusion you feel when you realize that beautiful, humanoid–like artistic form of a necklace or earring is actually a well-known childhood’s friend’s smile. What a metaphor for life in general.
Pure aestheticalin style, brilliant in the way of animating. Yet, this short I came across a couple of weeks ago brings a message much deeper than a simple anecdote. It is not that difficult to imagine a full-length story based on this short. Stunning.
