One of the most anticipated EPs of the year was released recently. Kendrick Lamar made his debut with the release of M.A.A.D city. As a fan who’s been following Lamar’s music for over three years, I think his acclaim is well deserved. Most importantly, the debut EP actually actually lives up to the hype. Bonus!

As the NBA season is now underway, I can’t help but be intrigued by the simple yet stylish attire of the now Brooklyn Nets. I like the urban and iconic appeal of its overall look and the extra “umpgh”credibility that Brooklyn brings as a city. Yes, I’m buying this hat.

Te wonderful history of indie Hip Hop label Stones Throw Record is being brought to life in a deserving documentary entitled Our Vinyl Weighs a Ton. Since 1996, Stone Throw has released critically acclaimed albums and now the label has launched a Kickstarter pledge to help fund the incomplete film. The pledge ends November 29.
