‘My breasts are brushes’, says this Russian painter. Yes, this is a completely useless but funny video of a Russian woman using her breasts as a brushes. Something you shouldn’t try at home.
London-based artist Richard Hughes incorporates incongruous looking objects into his work to create art that is sometimes humorous. Inviting questions as to the history and function of the pieces, upon closer inspection, these objects reveal themselves as meticulously cast replicas of readily available every-day objects. Melbourne-based artist Thomas Pavitte uses basic techniques to create complex artworks. For his take on Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, he carefully arranged and numbered 6,239 dots and then spent the next nine hours connecting them. The result is not only the (unofficial) world record for the most complex dot-to-dot drawing, but also happens to be a seriously cool piece of art. Read more

Philly indie rock group Dr Dog recently compiled a crackling Secret Playlist for us which included props for songs by Cass McCombs, Thunderclap Newman, and the new time rag star, A.A Bundy, about whose track, Vice Rag, keyboardist Zach Miller wrote: ‘Good enough to be a classic old timey melody, except with more contemporary lyrical vices added. Yellow Fever are a great duo from Austin that harkens back to the girl-fronted indie bands of the 90s. At times Breeders-ish, at others referencing garag-y sounds from other eras, their simple and heartfelt songs remind us of why we all thought mismatched Converse and unkempt androgyny was so cool in the first place.
