Woman shares photos of her naked travels around Australia (NSFW)

It’s not everyday you see someone travelling the world naked, let alone posting photos of themselves online doing it.

But 21-year-old Dutch woman Sterre has been travelling around Australia wearing no clothes at all and sharing images of her journey on Instagram.

Sterre wanted to publish the photos in hope of removing the stigma surrounding nudity.

Her account, a.naked.girl, is full of images of her completely nude, but always with her back to the camera, looking out at fields, riversides and the beach. The reason for this may have to do with Instagram’s strict guidelines on nudity, and facing the other way would surely have her images removed.

Nudity, rather than overt sexuality, is the theme of her page. Her goal is only to prove that the human body should not be objectified, but celebrated.

The wildlife in Australia is magnificent. Nobody around but just birds. This bird is a kookaburra, a native bird from Australia. After 3 days he is used to me and I could feed him by hand. Amazing experience and sad I need to leave tomorrow!

Sterre spoke to the DailyMail about her mission, saying that, “being naked still makes other people uncomfortable. It is really a shame that not everyone can see the pleasure of being naked in a non-sexual way.

“I wanted to help change that. To spread body positivism with Instagram and show people that being nude is not sexual or weird.”

Sterre now has 137,000 followers on Instagram and she hopes that her popularity can help promote naturism and the beauty of our natural state.

“The sensation of freedom, the adrenaline, the beautiful touch of the wind on your skin, all of those things are the joys of getting yourself naked in nature. My naked adventures outdoors have filled me with happiness, self-knowledge, and a great perspective of truly enjoying life as it should be.

“First your space, take a little step, and just dare! It feels so good to have nothing but a smile on.”

Her approach is somewhat different to many other body positive campaigns seen on the social media site, but one that people will certainly take notice of.

Hopefully it’ll get more people taking off their kit in a nice location this coming weekend.
