Vatsal Kataria, he does something even better: he actually builds these imaginary settings.
Kataria is a commercial photographer based in New Delhi, India. He’s known for shooting pictures of cars in outdoor scenes. Except that, instead of actually going outdoors, he just builds a miniature set in his studio and captures everything there.
Now, he’s doing the same treatment with his dreams.
Using props and models he mostly finds around his home, Kataria crafts sets such as abandoned houses, mysterious caves, and post-apocalyptic cities. He then takes photos, the results of which look like realistic locations.
“I created miniature versions of the places I saw in my dreams. It took me about two months to create all of them,” he told Bored Panda.
“I saw these places in my dreams and it was a bit challenging to turn my imagination into reality but the whole process was fun and awesome. I used very basic materials for this personal project and I hope you’ll like them.”
