These are some of the weirdest sex laws around the world

Read this before you pull out your passport, or anything else, for that matter.

“Something as innocent as a cheeky snog on a bus journey could see you slapped with a hefty fine or even end up in jail in another country,” writes Caroline McGuire for The Sun.

That’s absolutely right. We couldn’t believe it ourselves, but there are legal implications of what most of us consider as normal everyday behavior in our home country.

“Whether they are archaic laws from yesteryear or new legislation enforced by governments over the past few years, there are some weird rules surrounding sex and PDAs across the globe.”

McGuire has compiled a short list of some unbelievable “sex laws” from different parts of the world, and it includes some ridiculous ones, such as not being able to have sex on a parked motorbike in London.

But can you do it on a moving one? These are the questions that must be asked.

2013 saw the end to kissing on public transport for residents of Vienna, Austria.

Porn in Nepal? Illegal. The reason?

“The Home Ministry said that it has had to enforce the ban because young people are addicted to porn.”

Imagine if they weren’t. Now THAT would be troubling.

Then there’s the loophole that could get you fined for kissing in public in India, a few awful archaic ones from the Middle East, not being able to walk around naked in your hotel room in Singapore, and more.

The best one though, which really deserves its own investigative piece, is the restriction on maximum dildos owned in Texas, USA. How many? A modest six.

Mind you, this is a state which allows citizens to openly carry firearms. But seven dildos? God have mercy on your soul.

We’ll still give these countries the benefit of the doubt that their leaders aren’t just wildly infringing on people’s rights or anything like that. It’s just the way their societies operate. They’re conservative and traditional, and we should respect that if we’re visiting.

What do you think of these stranger than fiction ‘sex laws’ from around the globe? Would you dare steal a kiss in some of these places?
