Chris Cornell’s isolated vocals from ‘Black Hole Sun’ prove how special he was

With Chris Cornell’s shocking passing last week, people are commemorating him by sharing his songs. One such performance shows just how godly his voice was.

In the following video, Cornella can be heard singing an acapella version of Soundgarden’s 1994 hit, Black Hole Sun. With his vocals isolated, we get to experience a pure, unadulterated glimpse of his musical prowess – something we’ll never hear from ever again.

“Indeed Chris; no one sings like you anymore,” said one YouTube commenter, while another added:

“Chris Cornell is one of the most underrated vocalists of all time. He’s so great and has a huge range yet he’s always over looked.”

Cornell was found dead in his room at the MGM Grand hotel in Detroit. An autopsy revealed that the 52-year-old musician took his own life by way of hanging. He is survived by his wife Vicky Karayiannis and his two kids Christopher and Toni.
