When the dust settles, all we’ll have left is love. Before the first men and women who walked the Earth even created the earliest cave art, they already loved. Until the Taj Mahal was built and Lady Gaga and Macklemore songs became radio anthems, creators have continued to pay tribute to our favourite L word.
So it came as no surprise that this last Valentine’s Day was again host to many artists looking to throw their hat in the ring.
Kyra Bartley, Senior Art Director at Sydney-based creative company Heckler, did just that. She brought together illustrators and animators from around the globe to pitch into Love is Love, a project “celebrating the beauty of unconditional love.”
The result is an impressive collection of individual illustrations following the theme, stitched together in an animated loop.
While the project was timed for Valentine’s and the month of love, one can argue that it couldn’t have come at a better time, when so many people around the world are focusing on their differences and building walls instead of bridges.
The project was directed by Kyra Bartley and produced by Aborah Buick, with music by Johnny Mackay.
