The world’s first pop-up baked bean bar is opening in London

It’s bean a long time coming, but finally, fans of the musical fruit have their own little corner of foodie heaven.

50 years on from the creation of the magnificent advertising slogan ‘Beanz Meanz Heinz’, the iconic tinned goods brand is celebrating with a pop-up restaurant dedicated to all the fantastic baked beans-based dishes you can think of.

Open all day every day from March 27th to April 23rd, the Heinz pop-up bean shack in London’s Selfridges Food Hall will offer a range of dishes from ‘Beanz with scrambled eggs’ to ‘Beanz with with smoked ham hock’.

Just in case this doesn’t quite scream comfort food you can always ramp it up with an optional topping of cheddar cheese. OMFG.

Aside from the selection of limited edition cans, true bean-lovers can also get their hands on one of fifty super special cans signed by Maurice Drake, the genius who dreamed up ‘Beanz Meanz Heinz’ back in 1967.

Although this is all very exciting for Londoners, it’s probably not the best spot for a romantic date – considering the gastronomical impact baked beans tends to have us.
