With a nasty blizzard sweeping through Canada and the US this past week, one house off Lake Ontario had a… cool story to tell.
John Kucko, an anchor at WROC in Rochester, New York, recently saw a photo on his station’s Facebook page of an ice-covered house along Lake Ontario. Curious, he went to the site himself and captured the following image.
The picture shows icicles forming from the structure’s roof and stretching all the way down to the porch. The neighbour’s house, meanwhile, is left unscathed, thanks to lake-facing walls and central heating.
Last year, similar weather conditions resulted in an ‘ice car’ near Lake Erie. A towing company had to be called in to pull the vehicle out of its icy shell.
