A US politician has officially proposed a $100 fine for guys masturbating

If this law was to actually pass, the US would be the most powerful economy in the world.

A $100 fine for men masturbating and a proposal that they get rectal exams before Viagra prescriptions, vasectomies and colonoscopies.

Sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it?

Well, that’s exactly what Texas Rep. Jessica Farrar wants you to think.

Her House Bill 4260 is an actual thing that was introduced last week as a way of highlighting how absurd abortion laws are in the strictly conservative American state.

The bill, intended to satirise current laws about women’s bodies, states semen not used to create life “will be considered an act against an unborn child, and failing to preserve the sanctity of life.”

She doesn’t stop there, saying that dudes have to have a 24-hour waiting period before vasectomies – like women have to do before abortions.

Much like with abortion, there would also be a 24-hour waiting period before men could undergo procedures involving their sexual organs, like vasectomies.

“What I would like to see is this make people stop and think,” Farrar she told the Texas Tribune.

“Maybe my colleagues aren’t capable of that, but the people who voted for them, or the people that didn’t vote at all, I hope that it changes their mind and helps them to decide what the priorities are.”

While I don’t think she’s going to have any luck getting men to stop doing the deed, hopefully Farrar has opened some minds about the gruelling ordeal the state puts women through when they want an abortion.
