Wall Streeter caught ‘humping’ the Fearless Girl statue, gets what he deserves

You might remember one of the feel-good stories of last week, the installation of an awesome, feminist statue in front of Wall Street’s iconic Charging Bull.

Well, we’ve just got a harrowing reminder why artworks spreading this sort of message are so important.

Alexis Kaloyanides is an architectural designer who went to check out the inspiring statue on Thursday night.

But while she avoided the crowds, she wasn’t able to avoid Wall Street douche bags.

A group of “finance brosephs”, as she describes them, started climbing on the statues before one of them thought it would be a good idea to mime having sex with the young girl.

Not only is it deeply upsetting because, according to the witness, he was ‘humping the statue’, but the fact that the statue is there as a celebration of female empowerment makes this all the more difficult to stomach.

Luckily, Alexis snapped a photo of him and decided to post the shame him on Facebook.

“Almost as if out of central casting, some Wall Street finance broseph appeared and started humping the statue while his gross date rape-y friends laughed and cheered him on,” Kaloyanides captioned the shot. “He pretended to have sex with the image of a little girl. Douchebags like this are why we need feminism.”

She told Inside Edition that he was “grinding against the statue…being lewd and totally inappropriate” for about 20 seconds before jeers from the crowd drove him and his mates away.

“This is just further perpetuating a mentality of ‘boys will be boys’ and that ‘it’s okay, it’s a joke, just brush it off,'” she said.

“This young man likely has a mother, a sister perhaps, a girlfriend, a wife β€” who knows? I’m getting tired of making excuses and laughing it off. I, for one, am not gonna laugh it off anymore.”

The photo has since gone viral, being shared over 27,000 times at the time of publication – so thankfully this ass is getting the public shaming he deserves.

He’s also caught the ire of politicians, celebrities and commenters alike as social media piled on top of him this morning.

Yes, it’s disgusting both that a wallstreeter is acting like this to a statue and that a wallstreeter who helped with 2008 loss of pensions installed this meaningless statue. How many women and children where thrown on the street because of the greed of wall street?
