This note left on a stranger’s doorstep will both break, and melt, your heart

You might want to grab a box of tissues before you read this. We’ve found possibly the most heartbreaking note you will ever hopefully have to read.

One child, named Jake, decided to leave a note on a stranger named Chrissy’s doorstep in the US, after he and his sister stole a wind chime from her front yard.

But the reason behind why he stole the wind chime, which he explained to Chrissy in a note, is truly heartbreaking.

It reads:

“I am sorry that we stole your wind chimes our mom died and liked butterflies so my sister took it to put by our window I am sorry this is only money I have please do not be mad at us, Jake.”

All the tears.

Chrissy, posted the note to Love What Matters, and replied with an even sweeter message:

“Well Jake, I’m not sure who you are but you can come get your money back sweetie. I had 3 of those wind chimes you can come back get your money back and have 1 also so both of you have your own. I am not mad please come over to my house.”

Consider our faith in humanity restored.

note-2

We hope Jake and his sister get Chrissy’s message.
